I heard late yesterday from QPWS that they will have fire crews patrolling during the weekend in the light of expected Very High to Severe Fire Danger Ratings. This is very good news.
The Weather Zone site is currently (11.30am) showing the FDI as 21.7 which is within the forecast High Fire Danger that was forecast for today, but things could change quickly, and could be different in the Hills to those recorded in Gatton.
