Planned burn Geham area today 6 April

Have just been advised that there will be a QPWS planned burn in 25ha of forest to the NE of Geham (between Geham and Hampton near the New England Highway, and WNW of Palmtree). 

Ignition will be mid-afternoon.

Smoke may appear to be coming from the northern or northwestern parts of the Helidon Hills.

For Smokespotters:  no need to report smoke from this area unless you believe that the smoke you are seeing is not from this burn, or that the amount of smoke might indicate an out of control fire.
